This is why we should use cash. This is also why there has been a push for using debit and credit cards. The Covid plandemic gave more reason to utilize plastic so that money did not have to be passed from person to person....perhaps the shortage of change was more of a way to entice folks to use plastic, the trackable means of shopping, than being Covid related shortage of people to sort and count change. Lazy banks accepted that shortage and others actually encouraged customers cash in their change.

I save my change, it is used to pay for a groomer of my Benny. So I go to the bank every 3 months. I asked once, at my bank that I frequent often, and they just laughed. Did not say yes, but did not say no. You are right I am expecting within this year, a lot of people might find their accounts hacked, as I did back in Dec. Luckly, the bank froze my account over the weekend. But first thing Monday I called and went down there. It was a name that I could not even pronounce let alone give permission to take $ 75.00 to whomever has a name you cannot even spell.
