Yes. Then, Democrats wished to make it as hard as possible for blacks to vote. It took federal governmental action to overcome state and municipal laws set in place by Democrats to achieve that end. Today, they wish to make it as easy as possible for every eligible voter, regardless of race, to vote. Federal governmental action taken by Democrats to override state laws set in place by Republicans designed to make that difficult. What, exactly is your point? That Democrats have become the good guys and Republicans the bad? Well done!
